May 19th and 20th, the CanAm Friendship tournament was held at Iceland. This is the fourth year for the games, and the second time they have been held in Louisville.

On May 26th and 27th, Team USA will head to Waterloo, Ontario where Team Canada will host the second leg of the tournament series.

Prior to the start of the first game on Saturday, Kevin Kuwabara and Heather Disney of Team America got married in a ceremony on the ice. As the bride and groom entered, the wedding guests (most of them in hockey uniforms) serenaded the bride and groom with the banging of hockey sticks. As the wedded couple left the ceremony, they exited under an archway of sticks held high by their teammates and Team Canada. Immediately following the ceremony the game ensued, with the wedding party joining in after changing into their uniforms.

The reception party was held upstairs at Gotcha Bocce after the game.
